Camp Bestival 2015
@ Lulworth Castle
Thursday 30th July – Saturday 1st August 2015
Inspired by our love of getting out into the open air and running free, Team CB are extremely excited to announce a brilliant new theme that’s very close to all of our hearts. That’s right, we’re putting Mother Nature front and centre for 2015, as Camp Bestival Goes Wild!
Camp Bestival’s own wild man Rob da Bank says: “Calling all wild boys and wild girls…oh yes my wild friends and family, prepare to get down and dirty at Camp Bestival 2015 as we dump the technology and scramble into the woods for a back to nature escape from normality. We’ll have golden chances to bond with your kids in the mud kitchen, sleep under the stars with your mates and family, and take part in tons of wild activities. Release your inner wild thing and see you in July!”
Set in the stunning grounds of Lulworth Castle, Dorset, the event is a feast of plenty for kids both young and old. Featuring a lineup of children’s favourites from Mr Tumble and The Gruffalo to Shrek and Fantastic Mr Fox there’s plenty to keep everyone occupied on stage. Plus the Kids’ Garden is a veritable wonderland of care-free pleasures including 100s of free things for kids to do. With everything from soft play to maypole dancing and knitting classes to circus school, the kids won’’t know what’’s hit them.
With the young explorers taken care of, the big kids can kick back and drift off into an escapist world. Think of erudite adventures with art and comedy and cocktails at the Bollywood Bar or gourmet food from some of the most talented chefs around. Or for the more adventurous souls, there’ are dance classes galore at the Come Dancing Spiegeltent or tomfoolery of the highest order courtesy of our very own Camp Bestival Bestival Blue Coats. It really is the most unique holiday camp you’’ll ever set your eyes on and that’’s before you consider the staggering line-up of amazing music-makers, lovingly curated by the formidable Mr. Rob da Bank.
Set in the shadow of the castle itself the main stage has so far been graced by musical giants such as Chuck Berry, Blondie, Mark Ronson, Primal Scream, Madness, Calvin Harris, Florence and the Machine and Chic. Throw in a supporting cast of the most exciting up and coming bands and handpicked party DJ’s and you get a weekend of fun and frolics at the best family festival the UK has to offer.
